ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the final report in S.C.No.206 of 2021, pending on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge, Virudhunagar, which was filed for the offences under Section 109, 147, 436 of IPC.

2. The gist of the allegation in the impugned final report is that due to prior enmity, the petitioners formed an unlawful assembly, set fire to the thatched roof of the defacto complainant's house, caused damaged to the goods to the tune of Rs.3,894/- and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 24.10.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent, namely, Aarthi (Aadhaar No.4240 6823 3033) are present before this Court in person. They are identified 2/4

by the Police officer of the Virudhunagar Rural Police Station, Virudhunagar District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in S.C.No.206 of 2021, pending on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge, Virudhunagar is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 24.10.2025 shall form part of this order.
