ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No. 346 of 2025 from the file of the third respondent to the fourth respondent.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that her son was hit by a JCB vehicle on 04.09.2025; that a case was registered in Cime No.346 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 281 and 106(1) of BNS; that though there are eye witnesses, the respondents have not recorded their statements and have not identified the vehicle which was involved in the accident and that therefore, the investigation has to be transferred. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the accident took place at about 2:30 a.m on 04.09.2025; that the respondents are taking effective steps to 2/4

identify the accused and the vehicle involved in the occurrence and that they would complete the investigation within a period of three months. 4.In the light of the above submissions, this Court is of the view that it would suffice to direct the third respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the investigation shall be monitored by the second respondent.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
