in an expeditious manner and to file the final report within the stipulated period as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to transfer the investigation in Crime No.673 of 2024 from the file of the third respondent to the file of the fourth respondent and file a final report within a stipulated time. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that there was a robbery in his shop; that cash of Rs.2,80,000/- was stolen from the shop; that though the FIR was registered on 17.12.2024 in Crime No.673 of 2024, there is no progress in the investigation and hence, the investigation has to be transferred.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, would submit that the respondents have collected the CCTV footage and are yet to identify the accused 2/4

involved in the alleged crime; that they need substantial time to investigate the case and that except for stating that there is a delay in the investigation, no motive has been attributed to the respondents. 4.This Court is the view that the delay is not deliberate and the respondents are also taking effective steps to identify the accused involved in the case. The third respondent shall conduct effective investigation in the case in Crime No.673 of 2024 and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent shall monitor the investigation conducted by the third respondent.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
