O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents not to mutate in the village records in respect of S.No.85/10, 62/2A and 2B located at Chinna Thondi Village, Thiruvadanai, Ramanathapuram till disposal of the pending Statutory Revision before the District Revenue Officer, Ramanathapuram, in Na.Ka.B/10-No.36307/2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the statutory revision regarding the issue raised in this writ petition concerning the subject land is pending before the District Revenue Officer. However the District Revenue Officer is not a party to the present writ petition.

4. In view of the above submissions, this Court suo motu impleads the District Revenue Officer, Ramanathapuram, as the tenth respondent and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the tenth respondent/ District Revenue Officer to consider the petitioners' revision in Na.Ka.B/10-No.36307/2025 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The revision shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The tenth respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioners, respondents 4 to 9 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry.
