ORDER
The petitioner sought for quashing of the charge sheet in C.C. No. 902 of 2025 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.3, Tirunelveli, for the alleged offences under Sections 296(b), 3084) and 351 (3) BNS.
2. The gist of the allegation in the impugned final report is that by wielding a knife, the petitioner threatened the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.200/- from the defacto complainant and thus committed the aforesaid offence.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is not a habitual offender; that he has no previous antecedents and the impugned prosecution has been foisted against him and that the parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 14.10.2025.

4. The petitioners and the defacto complainant / second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.C.Mahesh, HC-1653, Seevalaperi Police Station, Tirunelveli. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

Considering the nature of the allegation and since the petitioner is not a habitual offender and the compromise between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C. No. 902 of 2025 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.3, Tirunelveli, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 14.10.2025 shall form part and parcel of the order.
