Respondents (R6 is suo motu impleaded vide order dated 24.10.2025 in W.P.(MD) No.29793 of 2025) PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to remove the name of the fifth respondent which was wrongly included in the Patta in Patta No.141 of the landed property comprised in Survey No.42/3B2A, for an extent of 0.3.50 hectare (10890 Sq.ft.) situated at Kathiramangalam Village, Avudaiyarkoil Taluk, Pudukottai District by considering Petitioner's representation dated on 28.09.2025 and for other reliefs as fixed by this Court. The petitioner had submitted a representation dated 28.09.2025 to the Revenue Divisional Officer alleging that the name of the fifth respondent was unlawfully entered in patta No.141. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.
2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for respondents 1 2/5
to 4. On the basis of written instructions, he submits that the matter relates to the alleged UDR error and that the District Revenue Officer is empowered to consider such issues.
3. In view of the said submissions, the District Revenue Officer, Pudukottai, is suo motu impleaded as the sixth respondent. The order shall be issued after carrying out the amendments in this Writ Petition.
4. Without making any observations on the merits, in the facts and circumstances outlined above, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following terms:
i. The petitioner is permitted to submit a representation to the District Revenue Officer within two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
ii. Upon receipt thereof, the District Revenue Officer is directed to consider and dispose of such representation on merits within four
(4) months from the date of receipt thereof after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the fifth respondent and 3/5
any other persons who would be affected by such order. iii. No costs.
