By relying on a settlement deed dated 06.12.2019 and a patta transfer order dated 07.10.2020, the petitioner had submitted an application for a survey on 02.10.2025. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner owns 154 square meters in survey No.231/8A and that the land in survey No.231/6 is an adjoining parcel owned by the Government. He submits further that it is necessary to survey both these parcels of land so as to correctly identify the boundaries thereof.

3. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for both the respondents. He submits that notice would be issued to owners of adjoining lands and a decision would be taken after considering objections, if any, from them.

4. On instructions, learned counsel for the petitioner confirms that there is no rival title claim. The petitioner has placed on record both title 2/4

and revenue records relating to survey No.231/8A. Therefore, a case is made out to consider the petitioner's application.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request to survey the land in survey Nos.231/6 and 231/8A after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands and providing an opportunity for them to raise objections. The entire exercise shall be completed within four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. NCS : Yes/No 23.10.2025 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No apd To
