O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the order passed by the first respondent, wherein the petitioner's request for renewal of passport has been rejected on the ground of adverse remarks by the second respondent police.

A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was implicated in a criminal Case in Crime No.59 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent police, for the alleged fatal accident on 07.03.2016 and a charge sheet has been laid before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tirunelveli only on 23.11.2025 and the same is yet to be taken on file.

3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Tirunelveli, seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the learned trial Judge is directed to dispose of the same within a period of four weeks. 2/4

Based upon the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tirunelveli, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
