O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to conduct enquiry and measure the petitioner's land situated in Survey Nos.1223/1 and 1223/3 at Kambiliyamparail Village, Sirumalai, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District. by way of considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a representation dated 19.08.2025 was made seeking a survey of the subject property. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that after considering the claims of all parties by conducting an inquiry, appropriate steps would be taken on the application of the petitioner in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the third respondent to conduct inquiry based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner, the fifth respondent and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
