Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records pertaining to the 2nd respondent's proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 850/Mugaam/Ka.Thu.Ka/Alangulam/2025, dated 10.10.2025 and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission to conduct the state level Kabbadi Tournament in Kaluneerkulam Village, Tenkasi District in the light of the petitioner's representation, dated 04.10.2025. ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed challenging the impugned proceedings issued by the second respondent, by which, the second respondent had denied permission to conduct Kabbadi Tournament on 11.10.2025 from 10.00 PM to 12.10.2025 at 03.00 PM in connection with the festival of Sri Muppudathiyamman Temple Festival, Kaluneerkulam Village, Tenkasi District.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that the petitioner may send another representation and the same would be considered in terms of the Circular issued by the Director General of Police in Rc.007301/ Genl.I(1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to send a fresh representation to the respondents for conducting the tournament. The respondents may thereafter consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
