The petitioner asserts that land in S.F.No.325/5 was assigned to the petitioner since he is a war veteran. Thereafter, it is stated that patta was also issued in the petitioner's name. Because the land has been subsequently classified in the revenue records, such as FMB, as 'Oorani', after submitting a representation dated 24.07.2025 to the respondents 1 to 5, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the power to reclassify a water body is vested solely in the Commissioner of Land Administration. Therefore, he submits that the petitioner should submit a representation to the Commissioner of Land Administration.

3. Therefore, this Writ Petition is disposed of by leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the Commissioner of Land Administration for reclassification. No costs.
