ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the impugned FIR in Crime No.18 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent Police, which was registered for the offences under Section 420, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of IPC.
2. The gist of the allegations in the FIR is that the petitioner had executed a sale deed in favour of the defacto complainant for a valid consideration for the land, which was allotted for public purposes and cheated the defacto complainant and thus committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioner and the second respondent have since arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 27.11.2025.
4. The petitioner, namely, T.Villavan Kothai (Aadhaar No.8235 9910 6979) and the defacto complainant, namely, B.Ganesan (Aadhaar No.3321 0716 7542) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.A.Saravanan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, DCB-II, Madurai District. The defacto complainant confirms the compromise and states that he does not wish to pursue the case.

In view of the same, considering the nature of the offences and the compromise arrived between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.18 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 27.11.2025 shall form part of this order. The petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the credit of the "District Siddha Medical Officer, CCRI, Periyakulam" (Account No.10767823177, IFSC Code: SBIN0000898, MICR Code: 625002601) forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
