By relying on Patta No.770 in the name of the petitioner's father Rangan, the petitioner had applied online for the conduct of survey of lands in Survey No.456/2C of an extent of 26.50 ares. The present writ petition relates thereto.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's father passed away on 10.08.2017, leaving behind four Class-1 legal heirs, namely, Mariappan, Gurunathan, Maruthai and the petitioner. He also submits that all of them live as a joint family and that there is no dispute inter se. On instructions, learned counsel also confirms that there is no title dispute relating to the property.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that action would be initiated on the petitioner's application for survey after issuing notice to Mariappan, Gurunathan, Maruthai and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and considering objections, if any. 2/4

In these circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for survey after issuing notice to Mariappan, Gurunathan, Maruthai and he owners of adjoining lands and considering objections, if any, from them.
