ORDER

The petition is to direct the learned Additional District Judge, Sivagangai, to complete the trial in SC.No.47 of 2024 within a stipulated time.

2. The petitioners are accused facing prosecution for the offence under Sections 294(b), 302, 323, 324 and 307 I.P.C. Even according to the petitioner, the second petitioner filed the discharge petition and the respondents have not filed counter affidavit in the said petition and hence the discharge petition has not been disposed of and there is a delay in the trial.

3. Since the second petitioner has filed the discharge petition and the same is pending, there cannot be any direction at this stage to conclude the trial within a stipulated period. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. If there is any undue delay, the petitioners are at liberty to file a fresh application in future for a similar relief.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
