Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent herein to look into the report regarding various irregularities submitted by the Director (incharge) Distance and Continuing Education, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Tirunelveli dated 07-07-2011 and take appropriate legal action after a thorough investigation by an independent investigating agency.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) This writ petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the first respondent to look into the report, regarding various irregularities submitted by the Director (incharge), Distance and Continuing Education, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Tirunelveli dated 07-07-2011 and take appropriate legal action after a thorough investigation by an independent investigating agency. 2.The ninth respondent, the Director, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption Wing, Chennai, has filed a counter affidavit, wherein paragraph - 7 reads as follows:
"It is respectfully submitted that a thorough enquiry in DE Nos.113/2011/EDN/HQ and 114/2011/EDN/HQ against Dr.S.Manickam, the seventh respondent herein and Tr.r.T.Sabapathy Mohan, the sixth respondent respectively for the same allegations as contained in the writ petition is in progress, and nearing completion."
