ORDER

The petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate Police Protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members, based on the petitioner's complaint dated 15.10.2025.

2.The gist of the petitioner's complaint is that the respondent police are interfering, harassing the petitioner and compelling him to surrender his son, who is alleged to have been involved in a case registered for the offence under Section 379 of IPC.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, would submit that there is no such harassment and for the purpose of investigation, the petitioner was only called on summons. 2/4

4.The petitioner cannot refuse to appear for the enquiry on summons. Hence, if the presence of the petitioner is required, the respondents Police shall issue summons and on such summons, the petitioner shall appear before the respondent Police for the enquiry. 5.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
