O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The respondent has issued the impugned notice calling upon the writ petitioner to vacate from the encroached land in question. 2.Notice in question has been issued by the Village Administrative Officer, Tharuvaikulam, Tuticorin Dikstrict. Under the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, it is only the Tahsildar or the Revenue Inspector, who are authorised to issue such notice. The respondent is not having any jurisdiction in the matter. 3.On this ground of lack of jurisdiction, the impugned notice is quashed.

4.The writ petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
