S.Sivakumar ...Respondents PRAYER:Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to protect the petitioner and his property and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to ensure the life and property of the petitioner are protected and he is able to live with security and dignity as per section 20 and 21 of Tamilnadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009. This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to protect the petitioner and his property and consequently directing the respondents 1 and 2 to ensure the life and property of the petitioner are protected and he is able to live with security and dignity, as per section 20 and 21 of Tamilnadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that when the writ petition was filed in the year 2011, the petitioner was residing within the jurisdiction of the fourth respondent police and now, he is residing at Astinpatti, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Inspector of Police, Tirunagar Police Station, Madurai District, hence, the petitioner has to approach the authority concerned. 3.In the light of the above submission, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the jurisdiction police station for redressal of his grievance, if any. No costs. Consequently,connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
