This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 herein to consider the application of the petitioner and conduct enquiry under Section 83 of the Registration Act, 1908 after issuing appropriate notice to the petitioner as well as the respondents 8 to 37 for their fraudulent registration of documents registered before the third respondent sub-registrar to the effect of illegal alienations of the petitioner's property bearing Sy.No.166/1B of an extent of 66 cents and S.No.166/2 of an extent of 89 and 1⁄4 cents situated at Karuvelnayakanpatti, Allinagaram Village inner Circle, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District, by 4/10
considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2025, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 2.With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 8 to 37, notice to the respondents 8 to 37 is hereby dispensed with.
4.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was serving as a Revenue Inspector at Pudukottai and that his signature has been forged and a power of attorney has been executed to sell his property to third party at Theni. He would further submit that there is no chance of him coming down to Theni from Pudukottai to execute the power of attorney. Therefore, the petitioner sent a detailed representation to the second respondent on 09.10.2025, seeking to conduct an enquiry. Since the same is pending consideration, he has filed the present Writ Petition. 5.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents would submit that the petitioner is well aware of the fact that forgery has been committed and hence, he can very 5/10
well give a complaint to the police against the persons who committed the offence instead of approaching the second respondent for conducting enquiry. Therefore, he prays for dismissal of this Writ Petition.
6.Heard the learned Counsel on either side.
7.According to the petitioner, the power of attorney document is said to have been forged and admittedly the said document pertains to the year 1991. This Court finds force in the argument of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents. Having knowledge about the commission of the offence in the execution of the petitioner's signature in the power of attorney, said to have been executed by the petitioner to the third party on 05.08.1991, while the petitioner was working as Revenue Inspector at Pudukottai, the petitioner could have given a police complaint. Rather, the petitioner, at this point of time has given a representation to the second respondent for conducting enquiry regarding a document which came to be executed in the year 1991. Hence, this Court does not find any merit in this Writ Petition.

8.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. There shall be no order as to costs. 16.12.2025 Index: Yes/No Internet: Yes/No MR 7/10
