O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to re-issue the passport to the writ petitioner on the basis of his application dated 30.07.2025 and his explanation dated 18.08.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.354 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent police. However, a referred charge sheet has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai, on 21.07.2025. In view of the closure of the criminal case as against the writ petitioner, there is no legal impediment, as on today for issuance of a passport.

3. In view of the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to consider the application of the writ petitioner and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
