Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the Impugned order passed by the 4th Respondent in D.O.No. 506/2010, Na.Ka.No. A1/13907/2010 dated 06/09/2010 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent no. 3 and 4 to fix the seniority and give the promotion to the petitioner for the post of Sub-Inspector of police.

[Judgment of the Court by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent that after currency of the punishment, pursuant to the punishment order dated 24.07.2008, the respondent has been promoted as Special Sub Inspector of Police.
