Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the Petitioner to the in and around place of Central Prison, Vellore such as Tiruvannamalai Sub Jail or Kanchipuram Sub Jail by considering the Petitioners representation dated 02.09.2025 on merits within a period which may be stipulated by this Honble court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to transfer the Petitioner to the in and around place of Central Prison, Vellore such as Tiruvannamalai Sub Jail or Kanchipuram Sub Jail by considering the Petitioners representation dated 02.09.2025.

2. Even though the petitioner has sought for a positive Mandamus, it is seen that the petitioner has made a representation on 02.09.2025 for the very same relief.

3.In view of the same, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
