After filing a revision petition before the District Revenue Officer in relation to the issuance of patta to the second respondent, the petitioner seeks the early disposal thereof.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the relevant property was purchased by the petitioner's father, Mr.Ramasamy Raja in the year 1960. It is stated that the patta No.2282 was granted in the name of the petitioner's father and his vendors. On the basis that patta No.424 was wrongly issued in the name of the second respondent, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, which was dismissed subsequently.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the first respondent. He submits that the first respondent would pass orders on merits within three (3) months after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the second respondent. 2/4

4. In view of the above submissions of learned Additional Government Pleader, it is not necessary to issue notice to the second respondent in this Writ Petition. Instead, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's revision petition and pass orders thereon on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the second respondent within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
