ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to settle the petitioners surrender leave salary of Rs. 5,70,550/- together with interest at the rate of 6 percent per annum payable from the date when it became due to till the date of actual payment.

2. Though the petitioner has retired from service on 29.02.2024, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 01.09.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 2/4

Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary to the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
