: Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take effective and expeditious steps towards erecting the compound wall by surrounding the burial ground allotted at Survey No.463/2, Thalaiyuthu Village, Tirunelveli District, by way of implementing the order passed by the second respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.Aa1/4061/2010, dated 16.08.2010 and further, direct him to complete such work within the time stipulation as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

****** The Government allotted 75 cents of land to the Jamath to be used as a burial ground. The Jamath wanted to construct a compound wall. The second respondent, by order dated 16 August, 2010, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

agreed to construct a compound wall. Since there was no follow-up action, the petitioner submitted a representation to the District Collector. Even thereafter, nothing was heard. The petitioner, therefore, filed this Writ Petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the first respondent.

3. The District Collector, Tirunelveli District, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 15 October, 2010, on merits and as per law and in the light of the proceedings dated 16 August, 2010 on the file of second respondent. Such exercise shall be completed, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 15 October, 2010, along with a copy of this order, to the District Collector, Tirunelveli District, so as to enable him to dispose of the matter, as expeditiously as possible.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
