Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.3 and 4 to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2025 and direct the third and fourth respondents to restore patta in favour of the petitioner in Survey Nos.176/11, measuring an extent of 126 square meters, situated at Sembarai Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein had purchased a portion of the property of Rajagopalan (father of the petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.31565 of 2025). On the ground that the patta in respect thereof was wrongly issued to respondents 5 to 8, the petitioner had lodged an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer. Early disposal thereof is prayed for in this Writ Petition.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 to 4. He submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer had 2/5

called for a report from the Tahsildar. He states that the orders would be passed on merits within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order after providing a reasonable opportunity to all parties to the appeal.

3. In view of the above submissions of learned Special Government Pleader, it is not necessary to issue notice to the private respondents in this Writ Petition. Instead, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal on merits within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the private respondents herein and all parties to the appeal.
