ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action as against the respondents 4 to 8 based on his representation dated 03.10.2025.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is an accused in Crime No.304 of 2025 registered for the offences under Section 77, 79, 294, 308(4), 351(3) of BNS, 2023, Section 66E, 67 and 72 of Information Technology Act, 2000; that at the time of arrest, he was beaten by the respondents 4 to 8, who are police 2/5
officials; and that he lodged a complaint dated 03.10.2025 to the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against them.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's complaint was sent to the Superintendent of Police, who had in turn forwarded the same to the Additional Superintendent of Police - PEW for report by 30.10.2025.
4. In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police-PEW to complete the enquiry and communicate the result of the enquiry to the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
