The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant layout approval in S.No.166/1A1A and S.No.166/1A1C, to an extent of 39 cents, situated at Paravai Village, Paravai Bit II, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, based on the approval bearing ROC.No.SWP/WVNAYAGZ/2025/TCP dated 02.01.2025 issued by the first respondent.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the technical approval for the layout was granted by the first respondent on 02.01.2025. Based on the said technical approval, the second respondent 2/5
passed orders granting approval to the layout. However, the third respondent is raising certain objections without having any right, interest, or title over the property.
3. On the other hand, the third respondent submitted that he had earlier filed W.P.(MD) No.15434 of 2025 before this Court, wherein a direction was issued to the Director of Town and Country Planning to consider the objections raised by him.
4. In view of the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to hear the objections of the third respondent before passing any orders on the request made by the writ petitioners for layout approval. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No pal 3/5
