ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.701 of 2023 from the file of the second respondent to the third respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner, who is aged about 88 years, is that although the FIR was registered in the year 2023 for the offences under Section 420 and 506(2) of IPC, the second respondent had not so far conducted the investigation in an effective manner and had not recorded the statement of the petitioner.

3. Since the main grievance of the petitioner is the delay in conducting investigation, this Court is of the view that it would be sufficient to direct the second respondent to conclude the investigation and file a final report within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The investigation shall be monitored by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dindigul Rural.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
