Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents 1 to 3 herein from allowing the respondents 4 and 5 herein and their men for conducting procession for taking Mulaipari and Milk Pot on the head of Women folk on Thevar Jeyanthi scheduled on 30.10.2025 in Melakuilkudi Village, Madurai District.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from allowing the respondents 4 and 5 and their men for conducting procession for taking Mulaipari and milk pot in connection with Thevar Jeyanthi on 30.10.2025 in Melakuilkudi Village, Madurai District.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that no such permission was granted to the respondents 4 and 5 and that the villagers were only permitted to garland the statue of the leader.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
