PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose the appeal field by the petitioner under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 in light of the communication proceedings in Oo.Mu.Aa1/12499/2025 by the 1st respondent to the 3rd respondent dated 10.11.2025.

ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent for expeditious disposal of the appeal preferred by the writ petitioner under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner is a senior citizen aged 90 years and her petition before the second respondent was dismissed. Challenging the same, the appeal has been preferred by the petitioner before the first respondent on 24.10.2025. 2/5
3. Considering the age of the writ petitioner, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal on or before 31.01.2026.
4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed. No costs.
