: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation preferred by the petitioner on 25.09.2010 for awarding of selection grade in the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Agricultural Engineering) with effect from 01.07.2002 and consequent refixation of pay, revision of pension and payment arrears thereon. Mr.N.Elango, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. I have heard Mr.V.P.Rajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Elango, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation preferred by the petitioner on 25.09.2010 for awarding of selection grade in the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Agricultural Engineering) with effect from 01.07.2002 and consequent re-fixation of pay, revision of pension and payment arrears thereon.

4. The petitioner, seeking such relief, has sent a representation dated 25.09.2010 to the second respondent. Hence, it would https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

be suffice to direct the petitioner to send a copy of the representation dated 25.09.2010 to the second respondent, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
