Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to carry out the survey and demarcate the petitioner's property comprised in S.No.177B/4A, admeasuring 0.1.75 Ares, situated at A.Kokkulam Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, and to fix the four boundaries thereon in a time-bound manner as contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. O R D E R

By relying on a partition deed dated 25.10.2023 and patta No. 8218, the petitioner had applied for a survey of land in survey No. 177B/4A. This Writ Petition relates thereto.

2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for both the respondents. He submits that action would be initiated on the application after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands.

3. The petitioner has placed on record both title and revenue records relating to the property. On instructions, learned counsel for the petitioner asserts that there is no rival title claim.

4. Considering the aforesaid, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for a survey after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands and considering objections, if any, from them. The entire exercise shall be completed within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of 2/4

this order. No costs.
