PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to disburse petitioner's terminal benefits along with arrears of pension and Interest at the rate of 12 per cent based on the order issued by the 1st respondent by his proceedings vide No.AG(A 1/5

and E) E17/11733058/4/R1733058 dated 26.08.2025, within a time stipulated by this Court.

This petitioner, who served as Middle School Headmaster has retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.05.2025. This petitioner with a grievance that his retirement benefits have not yet been settled to him, has submitted a representation and filed this writ petition. 2.Today(16.12.2025), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the Accountant General/first respondent herein has raised certain queries and therefore, the eligible pension benefits of this petitioner have been revised and it has been resubmitted to the Accountant General. According to him, the revised proposals have been made on 13.06.2025 and based on the revised proposal, the Accountant 2/5

General has sanctioned the pension benefits to this petitioner on 26.08.2025, however, the same has been withheld by the The Block Educational Officer II, Keezhapavoor Block, Pavurchatram, Tenkasi/the third respondent herein.

3.Since it is reported that the proposal has already been made, it has also been accepted by the first respondent/ Accountant General and an order has also been passed by the first respondent on 26.08.2025 itself, the third respondent is directed to disburse the retirement benefits due to this petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
