Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to return petitioner original Destitute Widow Certificate by considering petitioner representation dated 08.09.2025 and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to return the petitioner's original Destitute Widow Certificate by considering petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that since the petitioner was selected in the TNPSC Group-IV examination, her destitute widow certificate was forwarded to the user department. He further submits that the petitioner do not propose to join in the post for which she is selected. This Court finds that there is no impediment to issue a mandamus as prayed for.

In fine, the writ petition stands allowed and there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to return the original destitute widow certificate submitted by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
