The petitioner is about 95 years old. Originally, the patta in respect of survey Nos.236/2A, 236/2I, 238/6, 239/17 and 240/1 stood in the petitioner's name. On the ground that one son of the petitioner obtained patta transfer exclusively in his name under patta No.2735, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer. Early disposal thereof, is sought in this Writ Petition.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2. Considering the age of the petitioner, he submits that the appeal would be considered and disposed of on merits within six

(6) weeks.

3. Given the nature of relief claimed and the nature of direction proposed to be issued, it is unnecessary to issue notice to the private respondent herein. Instead, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal within six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after 2/4

providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the third respondent herein. No costs.
