ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the order passed by the second respondent in his proceedings in R.No.2228/A2/2025, dated 30.06.2025 and quash the same and to direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner into service as Civil Surgeon in Government Primary Health Center, Kuppanasaripatti, Theni District.

2. The petitioner was placed under suspension by order dated 30.06.2025 by invoking power under Section 17 (e) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, as he had been remanded to judicial custody. The offence for which the petitioner had been remanded judicial custody in Crime No.91 of 2025 on the file of the Thevaram Police Station had been quashed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD).No.12069 of 2025 dated 01.08.2025. 2/4

3. This Court is of the view that since the criminal proceedings have been quashed by this Court, the continuation of the petitioner's suspension is irregular. In view of the same, the writ petition stands allowed and the impugned order of suspension is set aside. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No Costs.
