ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to carry out survey, measurement, and demarcation of the boundaries of the house site measuring 640 sq. feet, comprised in Survey No.388/174B, situated at Kattuputhur, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, with the aid of the third respondent, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 04.11.2020 and 14.10.2025.

According to the petitioners, they are the lawful owners/pattadars of the house site measuring 640 sq. feet, comprised in Survey No.388/174B, situated at Kattuputhur, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District. The fourth respondent made an attempt to prevent the respondents 1 and 2 to survey the petitioners' property. The petitioners made representations dated 04.11.2020 and 14.10.2025 requesting the

respondents 1 and 2, with the aid of the third respondent, to conduct survey, measurement, and demarcation of the property boundaries. Despite the representations, the respondents 1 and 2 have not taken any action, causing uncertainty and hardship to the petitioner in protecting his property rights. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that proper steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 04.11.2020 and 14.10.2025, demarcate the petitioners' land after considering the claims of both parties, and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
