O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent not to relieve the petitioner from the post of Associate Professor (Principal in-charge), Computer Science Department of the third respondent college, pending consideration of her proposal for re-employment before the second respondent to the post of Associate Professor, Computer Science Department (Principal in-charge) in the third respondent college till the end of academic year i.e. 31.05.2026.
2. By order dated 14.10.2025 in W.P(MD)No.27841 of 2025, this Court had issued a direction to the third respondent herein to submit a proposal without any defects within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the order and on receipt of such proposal submitted by the third respondent, the second respondent was directed to pass appropriate orders on or before 30.10.2025, taking into consideration the fact that the 2/5
petitioner is going to superannuate on 31.10.2025.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the third respondent submits that the election of the Bishop, who is the Chairman of the College Board Committee of which the third respondent College was concluded only on 25.10.2025. Hence, the proposal as directed by this Court on 14.10.2025 will be complied within a period of one week from today.
4.Recording the said statement, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider such proposal and pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of two weeks from today. Till such time, the petitioner shall be permitted to continue in service. 5.With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
