Respondents Prayer: The Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to return the petitioner's passport bearing No.H7449426 to the petitioner. O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to return the petitioner's passport bearing No.H7449426 to the petitioner.

2.The 1st respondent has filed a counter affidavit. In paragraph No.8 of the counter affidavit it has been categorically stated that if a fresh FIR / Missing certificate from the concerned police station is obtained for the missing of the passport, they will process the case of the petitioner further as per rules.

3.The said statement is recorded and the petitioner is directed to produce all necessary documents before the authority and on receipt of the same, the authority shall pass fresh orders within a period of 3 weeks thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P.is closed.
