ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the first respondent in Letter No.Umipo/Pagir/Perai/Varu.Pirivu/Po3./A.No./25, dated Nil.08.2025, quash the same, and consequently direct the respondents not to disconnect the electricity service connection pertaining to the petitioner's property situated at Door Nos.1/189 and 1/190, Plot No.11, Navamaruthi Nagar, opposite to K.R. Arts and Science College, Thambipatti, T. Kallupatti Main Road, Madurai District.

2. It is informed that the electricity service connection of the petitioner has already been disconnected.

3. It is seen that the impugned order has been passed without affording any prior notice to the petitioner, and the disconnection of the electricity service connection has also been effected without such notice. 2/4

4. Though an appeal remedy is available to the petitioner, this Court, taking note of the above circumstances, directs the respondents to restore the petitioner's electricity service connection within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that the petitioner shall thereafter pursue the appeal remedy available under law.

5. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
