ORDER

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner fairly made a submission that the writ petitioner is a workman and falling within the definition of the workman under the Industrial Disputes Act. Thus, the writ petitioner has to approach the competent Labour Court for the purpose of adjudication and redressing his grievances. However, the present writ petition is filed in the year 2011 and it is pending for the past about 7 years.

order of punishment passed against him. This apart, it is brought to the notice of this Court that an appeal preferred by the writ petitioner is also pending before the appellate authority from 01.06.2009 onwards. The appellate authority/first respondent is directed to dispose of the aid appeal as expeditiously as possible without any undue delay.
