ORDER

The petitioners have sought for quashing of the FIR registered for the alleged offences under Sections 417, 419 and 420 I.P.C.

2. The gist of the allegation is that the petitioners, by giving false promises to the defacto complainant and others of securing employment Abroad, cheated them of huge amounts of money and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners had returned the amount not only to the defacto complainant but, all the other victims. The petitioners and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 26.11.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.Udaya Kumaran, Special Sub Inspector of Police, E.Pudur Police Station, Trichy District. All the 2/4

parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR is quashed in entirety and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 26.11.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order. The petitioners shall jointly pay a cost of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
