ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed to direct the third respondent to allow the petitioner to join duty to the post of Forest Guard Driving Licence with pay all services and monitory benefits together with interest of 6 percent per annum.

2. The petitioner had been appointed as a Forest Guard, however, he has not been permitted to join the duty as it came to the notice of the concerned department that the petitioner was involved in C.C.No.207 of 2024 pending on the file of the learned District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Senkottai.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he had been acquitted from the said criminal case.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 would submit that the concerned department had sought for opinion from the first respondent herein as to whether the petitioner could be permitted to join the duty. Pursuant to the request made by the concerned department, the first respondent has also issued a show cause notice to the petitioner on 19.09.2025, to which the petitioner submitted his reply on 27.09.2025.

5. In view of the same, the first respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
