2026-06-12Honourable Mr Justice N. Sathish Kumar,Honourable Mr.Justice M.Jothiraman2 pages

C.M.P.(MD)No.19284 of 2025 and W.A.(MD)SR.No.44593 of 2025 N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.

AND M.JOTHIRAMAN, J.

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) This petition is filed seeking to condone the delay of 814 days in filing the above writ appeal.

2. The learned counsel for the State appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 has not raised any serious objection to the petition being allowed. Despite the respondents 3 and 4 have been served and their names are printed in the cause list, there is no appearance on their behalf either in person or through pleader.

3. Accepting the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and considering that the challenge is with regard to the order of the District Registrar cancelling the document which cannot be permitted in the eye of law and that there is also a connected matter in W.A(MD)No.830 of 2026 which is pending before this Court, we are of the view that the matter should be heard on merits.
