Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to restore electricity connection in Service No.064500091864 or to give fresh service connection to the Ayyanarkovil Temple situated in survey No.127/1 admeasuring an extent of 1acre 1.94.5 ares in Chinnakalankadu Village, Kuruvikarambai Post, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District and based on the petitioner representation dated 10.10.2025. ORDER

The above writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to restore electricity connection in Service No. 064500091864 or to give fresh service connection to the Ayyanarkovil Temple situated in survey No.127/1 admeasuring an extent of 1acre 1.94.5 ares in Chinnakalankadu Village, Kuruvikarambai Post, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District and based on the petitioner representation dated 10.10.2025." 2/5

2. Mr.M.Viji, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr.K.Nagarajan, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner undertakes to pay the arrear amounts with penalty.

5. Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is directed to pay the arrear amounts with penalty. On such payment being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to issue fresh electricity service connection to the petitioner within a period of one (1) week from the date of payment made by the petitioner. 3/5

6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
