Heard both sides.
2. The petitioner suffered adverse orders at the hands of the Sub Collector, Palani. The petitioner is said to have illegally removed the mineral from his patta land. Hence, the penalty was imposed. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the District Collector, Dindigul. On 14.08.2025, the District Collector dismissed the appeal. Challenging the same, this writ petition has been filed.
3. The petitioner is very much having appeal remedy before the Director of Geology and Mining. If the petitioner files such an appeal within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, it shall be entertained without reference to limitation and disposed of on merits and in accordance with law. The petitioner is also permitted to seek interim relief. The orders impugned in the writ petition will be put on hold for a period of ten 2/4
3 W.P.(MD)NO.30845 OF 2025 weeks. At the expiry of ten weeks period, the restraint order passed by this Court will expire. It is the look out of the petitioner to get appropriate relief from the appellate authority. All the contentions of the petitioner are left open. The merits of the matter have not been gone into.
