O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to appoint a qualified Government Surveyor to physically survey the Agriculture Field No.F27 to the extent of 25 cents situated in Nanguneri Taluk, Thottakudi Village comprised in survey No.40/4B and based on the petitioner's application No.2025/0123/29/006203 dated 23.10.2025 to survey, demarcate the boundaries of the 25 cent plot and consequently provide petitioner's the report with demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner purchased 25 cents of agricultural land from respondents 8 and 9. 3/7

However, he could not obtain the property details from respondents 8 and

9. Thereafter, the petitioner filed W.P.(MD) No.29471 of 2024, and this Court, by order dated 09.12.2024, directed the police to complete the enquiry within a stipulated time. Pursuant thereto, the police, after conducting an inquiry, sent a request letter to the Tahsildar to conduct a formal survey of the subject land. In this regard, the petitioner also submitted a representation dated 16.08.2025 requesting a formal survey and demarcation of boundaries. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 5 submits that there is some discrepancy in the measurement of the subject property. However, if respondents 8 and 9 assist in surveying the land, the fourth respondent will consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

5. In response, the learned counsel appearing for respondents 8 and 9 submits that they are ready to assist the petitioner and the authorities in conducting the survey.

Since the vendors of the petitioner/respondents 8 and 9 undertake to participate in and assist the authorities during the survey, this Court directs the fourth respondent to conduct an inquiry in relation to the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2025, after issuing notice to the petitioner, respondents 8 and 9 and any other persons interested in the subject property and thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
