PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.482 of BNSS PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.Not Known of 2025 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 316(2) and 318(4) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.Not Known of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, who was working as the Branch Manager of IIFL Finance, K. Pudur, Madurai, misappropriated a sum of Rs. 18,00,000/- while processing jewel house loans between 2024 and June 2025. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petitioner misappropriated a sum of Rs. 18,00,000/- while processing jewel house loans between 2024 and June 2025. Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. The allegation against the petitioner is that, while working as a Manager in IIFL Finance, he misused his official position and collected substantial amounts from the bank's customers. The Bank has appeared before this Court as an intervenor. Considering the above facts and also considering the nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
