O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to quash the impugned order dated 01.04.2011 passed in SO.Mu.Order No.14802/A3/2011 by the 1st respondent, by which, the driving license of the petitioner was suspended for a period of six months from 11.03.2011 to 10.09.2011 on account of his involvement in an accident and pendency of a criminal case before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Trichy. The petitioner also sought a consequential direction to restore the driving licence for the suspended period of 6 months from 11.03.2011 to 10.09.2011.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has expired in an accident and therefore, the petition may be closed as abated. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In view of the above submission, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending and hence, this petition is dismissed as abated. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
